In his own words and fabulous dry wit,
Alan has been... "troubling audiences for far longer than is decent".
His main roles in recent years have been
Amos Starkadder in "Cold Comfort Farm",
Albert Parker in "When We Are Married",
Private Frazer in "Dad's Army",
Milo Tindle in "Sleuth",
Haig in "Oh What A Lovely War",
as well as Louis in our own production of "Private Lives".
Alan received critical acclaim for his stunning performance as
C S Lewis in "Shadowlands",
and also for his role as
Dr Manette in "A Tale of Two Cities"
and Blore in "And Then There Were None"
at The Regent Centre, Christchurch.
He insists that his wife, Anne, was
"Only responsible for casting him in one of these,
the rest required bribery...."
